Hi Everyone,
This message is for all you lurkers out there. You know who you are, sitting in dark rooms, secretly reading the forums here, but not joining the conversation! :D I want you all to know that we do not bite! This is a friendly forum where everyone is NICE to each other. We all share a common love of the sea and of photographing the world within it. I have noticed, since I have access to the stats of this site, that at any given time, we have four times as many unregistered users as registered users reading the forums.
What does this mean? It means there are a lot more people reading than writing.
Please join up! Register! It's free! We do not send you junk e-mail. We need more people here sharing their opinions and experiences because it takes a certain number of people for the discussions to reach "critical mass." I and a small core group of other users and mods are trying to keep this site interesting by starting discussions, and keeping them alive. But it is YOU that can really make this happen! All you have to do is dive in. Come up with a user name, register, and get in on the discussions. I want UWPhotoChat to become the ultimate place to swap information about underwater photography, equipment, locations, and critters. We can reach the whole world and share a world of experiences here.
So tell some friends, and ask them to join. Sign up, introduce yourself, start a discussion or add to one. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Happy diving!

Andrew, I know it and thanks for that and there are couple of more I should thank.
The truth is that 10-20 more actives would made this site much more interesting. This is of course voluntary but there have to be dreams;)

I have Canon 550D and I take also lot of video in Eilat. I had to buy new computer because the old one couldnīt run with HD videofiles. I like when I can now shoot still and video in the same dive:) Earlier I had to take either still or videocamera.
Now Iīm waiting for next summer to get shoot video in lakes in sunshine. Of course I will try that also under ice at the wintertime but I think that there is too dark?
What kind of lens and dome you are using? I have 10-17 Tokina fisheye and 8 inch dome. I had earlier 4 inch INON dome and it was mush easy to travel of course.

Who said that diving is cheap :) In my 5 year diving career this is my fourth camera. I also had to buy two computers and Final Cut Studio to get the thing done that I wanted.
I have canon's 15mm FE and 8'' dome.
So when can we see some Eilat footage? I didn't see any on your website.

Tommi, I am having big problem to update my homepage. I have already fixed all my photos with Lightroom, but I have to get help from my friend with my homepage upgrading. I hope that I can solve my problem as soon as possible.
Wow, fife year diving career and fourth camera! I have ten year career and sixth camera:) In one last year I have bought rebreather and cource for that, Canon 550D, Aquatica housing ,lenses, dome and macro port ImMac... About 11.000/14400$ one year for all! It is all been worth of that!:)
I have noticed that people like to comment more of still pictures than videos. I have posted to videography category my latest video 25.4.2010 (http://www.uwphotochat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=884). There is 342 views and zero comments. Second video is posted 16.10.2010 (http://www.uwphotochat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=941). There is 124 views and zero comments.

Free beer?
Nothing is free in this world...from one proposal punishment is 100 posts...in one day...4 UW pics in every post...+ one 5 minutes video...and yes free beer but not to one who is giving the proposal...:D
This is punishment is easy to give as my guess is...number of proposals 0
