 :D
you asked for them...
This one is from a dive at Wakatobi.... sea snake ingesting snake eel. Although I did not see the snake strike the eel, the rest of the group was clustered around the snake. I was behind and noticed the eel "acting weird", and sort of "flopping around". So I watched it and took some photos of it. Then the snake came around and in front of my eyes... disarticulated it's jaws and started to swallow the eel. Whole process took around 90 seconds. I was hitting the shutter button so fast, that the strobes sometimes didn't have enough time to recycle
What have the rest of you gotten "in the food chain"???
Cool shot Robin! You were definitely in the right place at the right time.

Wolffish eating. Not as interesting as the one above!

And here's a Basking shark feeding. But you can't see the prey very well!!

This Porcupine fish is chomping on a snail, which you can barely see protruding from its mouth.

Now that is an incredible shot. It must rank as the best lizard fish shot I have ever seen. Wow!!

:)
This nudi was being eaten by a coral polyp. In it's struggle, it beat up a little on surrounding polyps, to their dismay.

:p
Well, I have to admit that I couldn't see that beautiful nudi get eaten. I was BAD!! I did rescue it, thereby depriving the polyp of a well deserved meal. Sorry folks....a real photographer would have been able to watch it to the end.

These pictures are poor quality, but they tell a story from Malaysia;

Not close enough, poor light boosted hard with Photoshop=noise, 5 meg Jpeg file instead of higher Raw file.
My guess as to why the quality is poor

Resurrection of an old thread!
This filefish was hiding in the black coral, and surprisingly this is not an "ingestion" of another fish.... this filefish was actually upchucking his lunch!
Shot in Anilao in 2007. The fishie was partially digested and whitish in color, at least the part that was inside the deepest.

I just got back from a month on the south shore of New Britain Is, PNG. I have barely touched the MANY RAW images yet. Here is one of the attached J-pegs with no work, yet. It was cool anyway.

I'll get working on them, soon.

Here's a photo of an octopus about to eat a fish that's trying to escape (see the fish-shaped part on its right). It's reaching underneath with one of its arms to grab it.
