The April edition of Undercurrent magazine (P.8, "Slow Boat to the Galapagos") contains quotes from our own Tarczy regarding a recent, problematic trip to the Galapagos Islands. Let 'em have it, Mark!

Wow!
I can't believe they actually wrote an article about that trip on the Mistral . . . . or were they just printing my review of the boat?
Guess I have to get my hands on a copy.
Anyway . . . suffice it to say . . . The Mistral is not a boat you want to use to dive the Galapagos.
'nuff said.

What i wanna know is will Tarczy be able to show his face there again??:)
Will he be getting dirty looks, maybe getting his bags lost, or the old famous "oh i'm sorry, this tour is all booked, come back tommorow" :p

. . . No way!!!
I will never give The Mistral the chance to abuse me again.
Once is more than enough!
Oh yeah . . . one other thing . . . they lost my bags the first time . . . and I wasn't even Persona Non Grata. I'm hoping this time they'll try a little harder.
To be fair . . . it was Delta who lost the Underwater Housing gear bag. Even though we arrived Guayaquil a day early so that bags could catch up, I ended up without my bag because Delta is soooo lame!! The reason?? Well . . . Delta only has one flight arriving Guayaquil . . . at 12:30am!!!! That means during the daytime, there is absolutely nobody to be found at the Delta ticket counters or baggage claim areas in Guayaquil. The employees only go on duty at around 11:30pm and stick around until 1:00am, or until everyone has de-planed and picked up their bags. If you're not awake the next day at 11:30pm to go over to the Delta ticket counter, you're leaving for the Galapagos the following day without your bag.
Galapagos trip advice: Use American Airlines to get over to Guayaquil. I realize that flying through Miami International can be a pain, but at least American seems to have a much more "sane" schedule, and their ticket counters and baggage claim areas seem to be staffed 24/7.
