There is lot info coming from this.
If I have understood right it have
- uses blue laser instead of red
- bigger file sizes to one disc ( one layer 25 G up to 4 layer 100 G )
- better quality?
- supporting file types: M-PEG2, M-PEG-4, H.264/AVC amd VC1
- all the computers are not supporting blu-ray technics
Have anybody seen the final programs from these discs?

The burners are just starting to hit the market now. I'm not very knowledgable about them, but I'll have to do some research because I want to author some HD stuff on DVD.

Note that if it's just for your own viewing pleasure, you don't need a burner (and you don't need to waste money on discs that may become obsolete). With your PS3, you can play your hi-def videos through a hard drive, a flash drive, etc. I've saved some of my own videos as .m2t files, plunked them on a flash drive, and viewed them through the PS3 in all their hi-def glory. Very cool. Keep the file names simple though, since special characters seem to confuse the PS3...

Great hint as separate player is costing EUR 600!
