Can any one help with this query? I like to shoot topside shots from the water, things like boats underway, snorkelers, family enjoying the water etc... however I can't find anything that stops water beading on the lens of the camera. (Especially when I use my wide angle adapter lens).

It's very frustrating...any suggestions?

Try carrying a small piece of a Chamois cloth (not the leather chamois). You can squeeze it out and it will instantly absorb the water on your lens. I don't have a glass port, so I don't use the rain-X that everyone talks about.
