I spent more time chasing the Pegasus Sea Moth than shooting Mantas. Yap macro rules!

YUP! about 18 inches away. I was bent over backwards by the time I shot that frame.
I have a hidden perch at one of the cleaning stations that puts me at eye level with the mantas as they slowly pass over. this single pass gave me about 6 acceptable images.

What port do you use with that lens? Do you get any vignetting? How is the corner sharpness?

I use the Aquatice 8" dome without any extension ring and a fisheye port shade.
The image is full frame, I have not noticed any vignetting. I need to take it down and do some controlled tests to check the corner sharpness.
