Finallly got internet connection to our new home. Here are some first pictures with my 'new' Canon Powershot S3 IS, Ikelite housing and W20 wideangle lens. I think there is a lot of improvement from my previous Canon Powershot A95 in Canon housing. If nothing else, at least taking the shot is easier with the Ikelite 'trigger' compared to the Canons push button.
From a lake that is slowly turning into a swamp. Not so bad visibility (by Finnish standards!) and good light:
This first one is yet another wreck of a row boat! (honestly, it is...)

And couple from a different lake with awfull viz and cloudy day (= poor light):
And of course just then there is a pike that likes to pose.... sigh...

This is why I like photographing more than fishing; I've never lost my SD card on a tree trunk!

I think I like this camera. Its not a DSLR, but its a nice little camera (and fits into my budget! )

I really like the big one showing the surface. Very nice composition.
I am looking to get my wife a little compact/housing. I think Canon makes the best compacts for sure. Anyone else have this rig?

She doesn't want to lug it around. Besides, I don't want her to show me up. ;)

Just remember not to push her too hard on it and if she likes it great, if not, don't be too pushy about making her dive.

Man, we gotta get you in the OCEAN!
That bad, huh? ;)
I don't think I'll be going on a scuba trip anytime soon with half-finished house, two dogs, a two year old son and a wife whose 7 months pregnant.
Maybe someday

No, not that the photos are bad, just that you have very limited subject matter and viz in that pond! I hope you did not take offense!

Don't take anything I write too seriously, I got the idea in the first place, but I just had use the opportunity... The ;) was there to tell you that I wasn't really serious. :D
I have to agree with the limited subjects, but I doesn't really matter as I am still just learning.
