I made some dives with Dive Paradis in L'Escala at the Costa Brava. Great cave diving, wrecks and interesting fauna. L'Estartit is another famous dive site.
I made several dives at the coast of the Cote d'Azur which is very interesting. Near Hyeres there are several islands and I think they are one of the best dive spots. You'll find wrecks, reefs etc on just a small area. Just a 10 minutes by boat and you are on your location. I made my dives from Giens.

This year I dived near Cap d'Agde. My advice? Never go there. The viz was very bad - never had such a bad viz in the Med as I'd overthere. There's not much to see compared to dives at the Cote d'Azur and Costa Brava. If you're in France and like to go diving go to Giens, Saint-Tropez or Frejus.

The Mediterranean Sea is blue (where I've been). You've a viz of over 20 meters and you can spot lobster, murray eels, congers, all kinds of fish, octopus, cutlefish, marine snails, mola mola's, sometimes sharks (the little ones), shrimps, baracuda's, rays ...
A lot and I like to dive there. I will try diving in Croatia in 2008 which will be very exiting!
You can visit my website (public profile) - via links you can get a good idea of diving in the Mediterranean Sea.

We've got a real diving paradise in the southwest of the Netherlands. The viz can be limited allthough and afterwards surprisingly good! It depents on weather conditions.
I've been diving in the Atlantic Ocean (France) once. I made a trip to Bretangne for a few days in 2006. But the weather was so bad we'd only dived once and the other 6 dives where cancelled. The viz here (Quiberon) was better than I am used to in the Netherlands and all creatures seem to be larger and more colorfull. I will certainly go back one day!
