I take my pictures mainly with UWL-100 lens (http://inonamerica.com/products.php?product_id=190&prodcat=2&subcat=1). Yesterday I took first time in my life pictures with UCL-165M67 close-up lens (http://inonamerica.com/products.php?product_id=188&prodcat=2&subcat=1), because now there is quite many crabs at the daytime in my favorit lake. Mainly crabs are coming out of they homes only at night.
I was very pleaced about the results, because it is very diffigult to get close enough crabs before they run away. Also bottom of the lake is coverred with mud which is like powder. I had to trim myself only few feeds abow bottom so it was much more challenging to shoot that with dome. Main purpose was to capture the eyes of the grabs .
These pictures has taken ISO 100, shutter speed is 1/60 and f5.0

Nice job Sharp!
I believe the crab is keeping his eyes on you! :)
What was the water temperature when you took these photos?

Thank you Daniel.:)
Both water and air temperature was same 7 celsius/45 fahrenheit. Now it is late autumn, but hopefully lakes are open almost till christhmas in the area where I live before they get frozen.
When the water is getting coulder, crabs will stay under the rocks at the day time. And we dont do night dives under ice, because it is more challenging to find the ice hole back home at night instead daytime.;)

Nice pics Sharp and a big success with that closeup lens. Are they crabs or some kind of freshwater lobster? If so... does anyone eat them? I believe there are a similar type in the UK in rivers which you can catch and make a good meal of if you get enough.

Thank you solisti, Andrew and Ken. One of my buddy said also that he call those Crayfishes. It is very bizarre name because it is not a fish? For my the freshwater lobster sounds much better.
Some people just to eat those lobster in summer time here in Finland. Those are very expencive and there is no much to eat. It is fancy food and only oficcial drink with lobster is vodka. People put lobster to boiling water in alive.:( I have eaten those only once before I started to diving. Now I dont eat those ever anymore because those dudes are my friend.
This lobster was walking all the time backwards when I tryed to take photo. It was silting the bottom little bit, but some how I like this one.

Great shots, tasty critters. I had my first creyfish this autumn, and I liked them. You dig the meat out and eat it on a piece of toast with fresh dill.

Nice crayfish photos! We see these things all the time in our part of the St. Lawrence river (fresh water). I never use my macro lens for underwater photos here, but you've given me some ideas now :)

Thank you Jukka.
It is very nice to get feedback for all of you friends. To develop my skill to be a better uw-photoghrapher need also information and ideas from other photoghraphers. uwphotochat is excellent place to get that knowledge.
All you who have been shooting in lakes where is very often low visibility and muddy bottom, know that it is more than challengin to get good results.:D
Weather forecast has promissed sunny day for tomorrow. I try to get pictures also of those blue colorred freswater lobster. I will take also my videocamera with my, so I will do at least two dive: one with still camera and another vith videocamera. Lets keep our finger crossed.;)

As Ken pointed out they are crayfish.
Actually they are are called rapu, so it's none of the above! :p
(And we use the same 'rapu' for crabs also...)
