Solenostomus Reedi or Wananavu Leafy Pipe fish. I took these at Wananavu Sunset (Dive Site) on the outer reef in 40ft of water in the rubble. They seem to always be in pairs and move like Mangrove leaves in surge.

Did you actually discover these???

I did run across them on my dive, but I am sure the local DMs knew they were there. They just had no name for them and the DM who saw me taking the photos asked me what kind of Pipefish I thought they were. So I guess that's how you identify a critter? I have been submitting them to or for ID and the answer I get is "unidentified" so? I guess I get to name it? So in the spirit of Christopher Columbus I found something that others knew was there and clam it in the Name of ME;)
