Which USA insurance company do you recommend for camera gear and why?

I did a fair amount of research on this several years ago and concluded that I was already covered for most loss instances (theft, lost baggage, etc.) by my home owner's insurance combined with my travel insurance.
The only thing for which I wasn't covered was camera housing flooding. After doing the analysis, I figured I would pay far more in insurance premiums than the cost of my camera in the event I flooded my housing. Additionally, I felt that if I was such a dork as to flood my housing, then it's my fault and I should pay for it,thereby avoiding the hassle factor of having to file claims and collect from the insurance company. Finally, the insurance companies providing this type of coverage seemed very small and somewhat flaky. In other words, I never got the warm and fuzzy feeling that I would ever get paid in the event I filed a claim.
Just my 2¢

I had the DEPP insurance for a few years, but when I put a pencil to it, I came to the same conclusion as Mark. -Clay

I tend to agree....I self insure. However, a certain guy we all know who once left the port off his Amphibico in the Galapagos had DEPP and they paid for it!

Yeah . . . that guy-we-all-know would definitley find DEPP Insurance to be a worthwhile investment. I just wonder how many more claims he can make before DEPP cancels his policy.

Hmmm... wonder if I should get it before my trip this June just in case the o-rings in the housing for my S&S 8000G leak. It would be such a shame to have to put in a claim and use the money to upgrade to their 2G before I head to Lembeh! :D
