We did two days ago night dive to our favorit lake Valkiajärvi. We went to water at 9.30 PM and we did 90 minute dive. Live at night was totally different that day time. Crayfishes, Burbot and little pikes were hunting something to eat. Some of those were very shy and another one was guite brave.

It was very good dive to shoot with my INON UCL-165M67 macrolens (http://reefphoto.com/images/inon/inon_ucl_165m67.jpg). And the INON D-2000 strobe (http://www.kalani.net/scuba/divegear/inon_d2k.jpg)worked vell. Many photos look like they would been shooted at the daytime.

Here is some Burbot.

Nice job, Sharp! You're getting very good at fish portraits. The pike in my area don't stay around divers very long: you're lucky you have ones that stay put long enough to get photos.

Nice! Wow! Good job with focusing, in some shots the dof is quite shallow but all eyes are in focus!

Love the perch! (but by now you all know I have a thing for them... :p )

Nice clear pictures Sharp. Looks like good visibility for a lake. Has that strobe got a modeling light and you have got good sharp focus on the eyes which is never straight forward at night?

Andrew

Thank you scubagirl, solisti and Andrew.

Yes, I always try to get the focus to the eyes or mouth. The strobe is not strait forward but almoust. Because the strobe is very powerfull I just use the lightest power set up and give a little kiss whit that.

I use also the focusing light on the strobe on the night dive, which I dont use ever at the daytime.

This one came out from the rocks to posing. It was curious of our lights and strobes.
