Diving in Finland

Every year in Finland is happening where you try to get as much as possible divers UW for night dive simultaneously. This year 17 countries took part to this.

Last year it was made new world record, which was 2183 divers. This years result is not known as happening was just yesterday. Anyhow you can look video from this from the next link ( Sorry narration is in finnish ):

I almost attended also :D

I found three reason that stopped me from doing it:
- Empty bottle and broken compressor at local fire station :(
- Voluntary fire brigade practise at same time (I just started this 'hobby') :cool:
- Even I am starting to doubt that the wetsuit season is over! :eek:

I took also part of that happening in my home town. There where eigth divers of us. I didn´t took my camera with my at all, because many of the divers was new buddys for my and the water in diving place was quite dark. So I just concentrated only diving.

Very good video Jukka. Music suit well for the nightvideo. Narrater was professional. Visibility on your lake was little bit better that in our place in the center of Savonlinna.

Rebreather diver had nice travelframe. I just pick up mine today from post office. I am going to do same kind of modification to my CCR on this weekend.

As the result calculation is not ready yet ( still missing info of 8 dive sites ) the final number of divers is unknown.

Previous night dive world record is 2183 divers...now we have already 2805 divers and still missing some sites so:

THE NEW WORLD RECORD HAVE BEEN DONE.
