Hi

Arrived at DLL and did my first day of diving on Christmas day. Trying to get used to working with the G10 and S-2000 strobe and most of the shots I took the first dive day were not that good. One factor was that I needed another arm and ball section. Finally figures out how to use what I had and added the strobe diffuser today and am starting to be happy with some of my shots. Tomorrow I will add the subsee.

In 21 years of diving I have not been able to see an octopus... well, yesterday I saw a mimic and today I saw a wonderpus, a blue ring and a hairy octopus. :D

Seems I have now exceeded my quota and am not able to upload more photos.

Any suggestions on how to post more from this trip??

Upload photos to a free photo sharing site and then use the Insert Image icon to link to them.

In 21 years of diving you never saw an octopus?? Wow! See, that's the great thing about Lembeh: you get to see a lot of interesting creatures in a short space of time!

Let's see.... I have now seen flamboyent cuttlefish, more nudis than I know names of so am now calling them by their colors (;) ), electric clams, fire urchins, zebra crab, spiny devilfish, ambon scorpion fish, juvenile box fish, porclain crab, mantis shrimp, a flounder eating an octopus, at least 5 different kinds of frogfish, ornate ghost pipefish, mandarin fish (couldn't get a decent pic though), finger dragonet, ringed pipefish, robust ghost pipefish,,,, and have 2 more days of diving left!

Here is a pic of a nudi with eggs that I found yesterday. Am still trying to figure out a way to upload more directly here for now instead of linking to another site.

I plan on removing some of the pics I have posted in other threads, reducing the size of the ones I have edited and then will post more here... probably in a few days.

Decided against posting on another site and linking them here for the time being.

Removing already posted pics is like killing the content of thread and I feel not so good solution.

There are many free possibilities to use URL-addresses.

I agree with Jukka! There are a million places to post pics for free so you can link them.

Will hopefully have time this weekend... but the more I review my shots the more I find fault with them even though I am, on the whole, happy with the short learning curve with the G10, figuring out how to focus with the subsee 10+ and working with a strobe again (need another arm and ball joint section to really move it the way I want) .

Having to get back to work is a really a PITA!
