So I went to Hawaii in late March of last year, and only now posting about it.
So late March of 2009 I went to Kihei, Maui, in Hawaii for a friends wedding. So of coarse I had go diving while I was there. The first two days were spend finding a bank to get money and to find a shop to go out with. Not that there was a lack of choice really.
I went out the 4th day with "The Scuba Shack" on a boat, that consisted of 2 dives. The first was at Molokini, It's the remains of an old volcano, crater.
The depth there is about 60 feet inside the crater, and the water is blue. Very blue, so much so that you brain can't even compensate for it.

But a little strobe does help.

There really is not a lot left at Molokini, it has been toured almost to death. The dive here lasted 40-60 mins and wasn't to bad. But not a lot to see.
After getting out of the water at Molokini, we headed to a spot called Turtle town. Not that we saw a single turtle. This spot was back closer to shore and was 40-30 feet in depth at the anchor line and got to 20 feet closer to shore. Visibility here wasn't all that great either. The water had a sandy milky color to it, and was about 15 feet. But I did manage to get one of my Underwater Photo goals and that was of a Frog fish.

The Frog fish was the most exciting thing about this dive that lasted about an hour. Afterwords we returned to the boat launch and got ready for the following days next two dives.
