We have dad very cold winter here in Finland. I have had longes period ever (three month) that I havenīt had change to go diving because very could weather a LOTS of snow. But now weather is warmer and we did Ice Diving Event with three different divingclubs.

Other divers dived with traditional method with buddyrope, when the assistant was on the ice and other divers dived using the cavediving methods and guidline.

And of course we had barbegue on the ice as well:)

Here is the video (http://www.youtube.com/user/syvapurppura?feature=mhw4).

The visibility was best ever on that place. It was about 15 meter/45 feet. Normally at the summer time it only half of that.

Actually there is two wrecks side by side on the bottom of the lake. Those boats was used when they build up those two bridges (one for trains and another for cars) what you can see on the biginning of the video on the other side of the lake. When the bridges was ready and the owner of those boats wanted to get boats under bridges, but the boats where too high for that. Well, owner decided to fill boats up a little bit with water to get those lowel, but they fill those too much and boats sank.

Those wrecks are very popular diving place especially at the summer time because it is easy to get there, visibility is good and it is shallow.

Yes there is a gas grill just beside the ice hole. And the sausage tasted very good after refreshing dive.:)
