Main purpose for our dive was to capture sun rays penetrating from the ice hole. Here Seppo is posing.

After one hour it is time to back home and have a cup of hot chocolate. You can see the primary reeel and line which we are using when we are diving to the wreck.

We dived in 6 degrees yesterday, my hands were frozen after 35mins
Air temperature was -6 celsius / 43 fahrenheith and water temperature was only 0 celsius / 34 fahrenheith. Yes, it very cold. I am having two gloves under my drygloves, but still I have to warm my hands many times by rubing my hans together.
My hands are getting cold under water at the winter time much easily when I am shooting with camera because air is not circulating so easily inside the gloves. Coldest water temperature what we have measured on lake was -1 celsius, when we where diving on the lake where was strong flow. That feld wicked.
Sometimes we use Argon inside the drysuit. It is warmer that air, but I have notised that most important for my is to have warm undergloves and big enougt dry gloves. Summer time I use only one pair of thin gloves under dry gloves and dry gloves could be then one size smaller than winter time.
Ken, are you using wet glowes or dry gloves?

I am using wet gloves, never tried drygloves.
I need a new drysuit but can't afford one at the min.
The sea should warm up a bit soon, so I will just have too grin and bear it for the moment.
There are few 40m dives coming up soon, looks like deco may be a bit cold :(

Winter time dygloves are only option for us but summer time it is way differend. I often do dive shallow dives at the summer time with wet suit and no gloves at all. Deeper dives I dive at the summer time with drysuit and drygloves, but often my hands are sweating so I have to dry my gloves after dive. I use to have several pair of drygloves which I can change between dives and wash old ones.
